A landscape company built by landscape people.
Green Garden Group is a buy-and-build platform formed in 2021 to bring established Chicagoland landscape companies under one operating roof — without overwriting what made each of them successful in the first place.
Four established companies. One operating platform.
Green Garden Group was formed in 2021 as a buy-and-build platform. Wingren — the oldest business in the family — traces back decades, and each of the four operating brands (Green Grass, Wingren, Grant & Power, and Bertog) brought its own established reputation, market, and team into the partnership. The strategy is straightforward: buy great companies, then build on what's already there.
The thing that holds the group together isn't a brand standards manual. It's a shared operating belief: that a landscape company is its crews, its designers, and its clients — and that the role of a corporate parent is to make those people more effective, not to overwrite them.
Today, GGG is approximately 400 employees across four operating brands, servicing thousands of residential and commercial properties across Greater Chicagoland, Southeast Wisconsin, and Northwest Indiana. We are recognized for the fourth consecutive year on the Lawn & Landscape Top 100 — ranked #3 in Chicago Metro and #4 in Illinois.

Operator-driven leadership.
Corporate function. Shared leadership. Local execution. The GGG leadership team is built from people who have personally run landscape companies — decisions about crew schedules, equipment specs, and client service are made by people who have done that work.
